HydroBID Flood

Flood mitigation, urban drainage, and hydraulic infrastructure design.

HydroBID Flood is the IDB-partnership edition of Hydronia's 2D hydraulic/hydrologic model, tailored for Latin American and Caribbean flood-risk and urban-drainage studies. The underlying solver and QGIS plugin are the same proven RiverFlow2D engine, with branding and workflows adapted for HydroBID programs.

Plugin reference

Chapters follow the order of the QGIS plugin toolbar.

1. New Project / Scenario Tool - create projects and scenarios, configure initial layers.
2. Export Tools - assemble the solver input dataset from the QGIS layers.
3. Results vs Time Maps - time-series, maximum, hazard, concentration and economic maps.
4. Animation Tool - animate results and export images, videos, and KMZ files.
5. Cross Sections Tool - extract cross-section, hydrograph, and tabular results.
6. Tools - EPA-SWMM integration, TriMesh utilities, mesh quality checks, and project migration.
7. Hydronia Tools Context Menus - right-click hydrograph and tool menus attached to each plugin layer.
8. Appendix - Layer Attributes Reference - full attribute tables for every plugin layer.
